The annual Crown Cup at the Coronado Tennis Center over the Sept. 9-10, 2017 weekend was a great event for the city of Coronado, CTA members and guests. The doubles play was competitive and fun, and the tournament also raised money for upcoming “thank you” dinners in honor of the Coronado Police and Fire Departments.
“The Coronado Tennis Association is very proud to partner with Village Pizzeria (Blue Bridge Hospitality) in donating dinners to our Coronado Police and Fire Departments,” said CTA President Jenni Portelli. “Dinners will be delivered next week to our wonderful first responders.”
Congratulations to all the participating players, especially the champions and finalists.

Your Coronado Tennis Association (CTA) is a dynamic organization. We work to provide great tennis opportunities and social events for our resident, nonresident members and the Coronado tennis community.
As I reflect upon the past year, our many activities included leagues, special events, tournaments, school contributions, and free Jr. Clinics. I know that these activities could not have been accomplished without your membership in the CTA!
We also are fortunate to have a very dedicated board of directors, both past and present, league Capts. committee chairs and many wonderful volunteers. Currently our CTA Golf Ball Committee is working to find a solution to keep players safe from golf balls landing in the Tennis Center area. We are making headway. I will keep you posted on our progress as we may need more of your valuable input.
While enjoying our lovely tennis center, I hope you will take a moment to check out Westwood Sports very competively priced merchandise and use your 10% CTA member discount!
Thank you all for your support of tennis in Coronado. Please don’t hesitate to contact one of us with your suggestions for an even better tennis experience in 2014!
