The Coronado Tennis Association (CTA) was formed in 1970 to promote tennis in the City of Coronado; encourage competitive play among its members; assist in the development of promising Coronado juniors; and support open play at city-owned tennis facilities.
The CTA collaborates with the City of Coronado Recreation and Golf Services Department and Impact Activities.
The CTA is a non-profit player organization governed by a volunteer board of directors that organizes social tennis for the Coronado community. CTA membership provides its members with competitive play in CTA ladders, mixers, round robins, and an annual tournament. The CTA sponsors events for children of members and annual tennis scholarships. The CTA Board of Directors serves as a liaison between the City of Coronado, Impact Activities and the Coronado community of players.

The CITY of Coronado pays for court resurfacing, nets, fences, windscreens, landscaping, janitorial, court washing, lighting, electricity, and building maintenance and improvement. https://www.coronado.ca.us/161/Recreation-Golf-Services
Impact Activities operates the Coronado Tennis Center, all city courts, and the pro shop. Impact Activities provides court reservations, ball machine rental, lessons, league play, some tournaments, and other tennis activities.
