This award in named in honor of Jennie Portelli, who served for many years as CTA President. The award recipient is announced at the Annual Meeting & Holiday Party and their name is engraved on a plaque in the tennis center club room.
Jim Robbins
Jim served as CTA President for three years, during which he brought immense joy, energy, and leadership to the Coronado tennis community. His tenure was marked by a genuine passion for the sport and a deep commitment to bringing people together through tennis. He continues that service today as CTA Vice President, where his dedication to both the game and the community is evident every single day.

Bob Thompson
Bob served as Vice President and President of the CTA for 6 years. During that time he redesigned the membership registration, event registration and dues payment process of the CTA. Bob was a strong advocate for the CTA with the city of Coronado and contributed greatly to the request for proposals that ultimately resulted in the contract to manage the Coronado courts.

Debbie McBride
Debbie served 3 terms as a member of the CTA board of directors. During that time she was solely responsible for keeping membership rolls up to date, and registering players in CTA events. Debbie also developed an efficient system to manage court assignments for monthly CTA mixers and volunteered many hours to CTA events.

Sheryl Munning
As CTA President from 2019 to 2021, Sheryl put in countless hours to lead the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic, work with the city of Coronado on a number of thorny issues, and improve the CTA's website and internal operations.

Duane & Susy Weekly
Duane and Susy served the tennis community for almost five years organizing the Mixed Team Tennis League (MTTL). They spent many hours and lots of their own money to plan competitive play each week plus special events, award ceremonies and parties.

Joetta Ragland
Joetta has served the tennis community by running the Cays Ladies Round Robin for over 20 years! She has volunteered many hours organizing fun, friendship and play for local ladies.

Jim Nelson
Jim served the Coronado tennis community by running the CTA Men's Doubles Ladder. He volunteered many hours providing fun, competitive play and camaraderie for local men on most Saturdays for more than 9 years!

Sue Macdonald
Sue served the Coronado tennis community by running the CTA Monthly Mixers for several years. She volunteered many hours to register players, shop for and set up food, and decorate for many fun, themed events.
