The Coronado Tennis Association
is a non-profit player organization governed by a volunteer board of directors that organizes social tennis for the Coronado community. CTA membership provides its members play in CTA leagues, ladders, mixers, events, etc. The CTA Board of Directors serves as a liaison between the City of Coronado and the players.
The City of Coronado Recreation Services Dept
owns and maintains all courts, equipment and surrounding buildings. Determines court use by CTA and all others, rents courts, rents ball machines, provides classes with City contracted tennis pros.
The Coronado Tennis Association (CTA) was formed in 1970 to: Promote tennis in the City of Coronado; Encourage competitive play among its members and between members of similar groups; Assist in the development of promising Coronado juniors; and support the maintenance of city-owned tennis facilities within the City of Coronado.
